Catherine Mieses

About Me
I'm Catherine Mieses and I am an actor, director, writer, acting tutor, and poet based in London, with roots in New York City and Miami. I hold an MFA in Acting from East 15 Acting School and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, with a concentration in International Relations, from Florida International University, and have also completed a higher education residency at Shakespeare’s Globe.
My work is driven by a passion for storytelling that bridges cultures and lived experiences. I create theatre that explores identity, language, and connection, often incorporating poetry, movement, and interdisciplinary approaches to expand how stories are told and to highlight underrepresented voices. As a bilingual artist fluent in English and Spanish, I bring a global perspective to my practice.
Known for my integrity, versatility, and intuitive approach, I work fluidly across acting, directing, writing, and producing, adapting to the needs of each project while maintaining a clear artistic vision. Alongside my creative work, I am dedicated to mentoring actors and fostering authentic, confident performance. I have served as an Acting Tutor/Facilitator at my alma mater, East 15 Acting School.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy traveling, archery, writing, spoken word, and photography, all of which continue to inform and inspire my artistic voice.
